A strategic alliance between Paris and Brussels
Junot accelerates its international development by acquiring the Belgian group Victoire Properties, founded and run for 30 years by Jean and Pascale Corman. Interview with Jean Corman and Sébastien Kuperfis.
J ean Corman, could you share with us the story and the pillars of Victoire Properties, from its inception to its current development as a leader in the Brussels real estate market?
After working as a notary and at the Bar, I was responsible for managing credit for real estate developers and promoters at Anhyp Bank. This experience gave me a taste for and expertise in Brussels residential real estate.
In 1993, I founded Victoire Properties. Our ambition was to provide high-quality services to a targeted clientele, namely expatriates relocating to the European capital.
The Victoire Properties logo, a stork – a migratory bird that travels from one country to another but always returns to its original nest – was chosen to align with the name Victoire, in honor of our eldest daughter.
From the outset, we focused on expertise and personalized advice, which set us apart and earned the loyalty of an ever-growing clientele. Over the years, this approach has positioned us as a benchmark in the Brussels residential market. Today, this family DNA remains deeply embedded, both internally, with our daughter Margaux heading the Marketing department, and externally, with our clients – many of whom are now the children of our original customers!
Jean Corman, what are the specific strengths of your two Uccle and Woluwe flagship agencies in the Brussels real estate market?
We have always sought to be close to and available for our high-net-worth clientele, welcoming them to spaces where they feel at home. Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, located in the east of Brussels, was a natural choice for our first branch. Later, opening a second location in Uccle, to the south, and more specifically in Fort Jaco, made perfect sense within this vision of providing local, high-quality service.
From the outset, the emphasis was placed on expertise and advice, which has set us apart from our increasingly loyal clientele, positioning us over the years as a benchmark in the Brussels residential market.
Sébastien Kuperfis, what motivated Junot to expand to Brussels, and what makes the city such a strategic opportunity?
Brussels and Paris are very close, both geographically and culturally, and certain districts, such as Uccle, have a significant French community. Recognizing this, along with the shared values of ethics and professional methods between our two companies, we felt that this collaboration could only enhance the successful completion of the real estate projects entrusted to us. By fostering better communication and synergies, we are ultimately more efficient not only in Paris and Brussels but also in Lille.
Moreover, Brussels is a city we deeply admire for its architecture and exceptional quality of life, offering a harmonious blend of space, urban vibrancy, nature, and gastronomy.
What are the fundamental values that unite Victoire Properties and Junot in this collaboration?
Jean Corman : The alignment of both professional and family values within our two companies has revealed a strong commonality of interests and shared human and financial objectives, both in the short and medium term.
Sébastien Kuperfis : At Victoire Properties, we found a family-oriented culture and professional teams with a shared vision of the real estate business. This vision emphasizes exceptional customer service paired with a positive and collaborative working environment. That’s why we chose to make this first acquisition.
How does this partnership aim to meet the specific expectations of an international clientele and strengthen your leadership in the luxury real estate market?
Jean Corman : In an increasingly demanding market, combining Victoire Properties’ 30 years of expertise in Brussels with the network, reputation, and innovations of the French Junot group provides unparalleled visibility for the properties entrusted to us, along with significantly stronger international connections.
