Anne-Sophie Pic, heart-felt gastronomy
From Paris to Dubai, London to Hong Kong, Anne-Sophie Pic shares her taste for wonder through harmonious creations. As the world's most Michelin-starred woman chef, she champions a generous approach to gastronomy in terms of both mind and heart.
Restored ties
Strangely enough, Anne-Sophie Pic was not predestined for the kitchen. Born into a family of Michelin-starred restaurant proprietors, she took over the family restaurant after the death of her father, just as she was finishing her business studies. Located in Valence, France, the establishment was losing its luster, yet Anne-Sophie embarked on a complete overhaul of the menus, modernized the kitchens and recruited a new brigade. With her subtle, deeply emotional cuisine, she succeeded in restoring the restaurant's three Michelin stars and creating the Maison Pic, a five-star hotel where the term ‘culinary experience’ takes on its full meaning.
Ultimate recognition
Building on this revival, the Pic dynasty has conquered international markets with establishments in Lausanne, Paris, London, Hong Kong and Dubai, restoring its worldwide prestige. In 2024, the Pic restaurant in Valence won first place in the prestigious "Best of the Best Restaurants" ranking, definitively confirming the excellence of its cuisine and of its historic establishment.
Ode to harmony
Anne-Sophie Pic's signature is based on imprégnation (permeating), a concept that goes beyond simple gastronomy to celebrate the richness of encounters and influences. Drawing inspiration from Nature, art and design, her cuisine explores every nuance of flavor. As she explains: “Imprégnation is an approach that blends different techniques, such as marinating, infusion, maceration or smoking, to reveal new flavors.” Her iconic creations, like ASP© Berlingots and subtly smoked Blue Lobster, testify to this constant quest for the perfect balance between innovation and emotion.
